Link building that will not get you penalised later
A backlink is another website vouching for yours. Google still treats that vouching as one of its strongest signals, which is exactly why a market grew up selling links that vouch for nothing. Real link building is slower and less comfortable to sell: you earn coverage, you get listed where your industry actually looks, and you build things worth referencing. It works, it keeps working, and it cannot be taken away by an algorithm update.
Why we are careful about this, from experience
We inherit sites carrying link profiles built by somebody else years ago. Directory networks, bookmarking sites, foreign language blogs with no connection to the business. They were cheap, they worked briefly, and now they sit on the domain like a debt.
Cleaning that up is slow. You audit the profile, you separate the merely useless from the actively harmful, you try to get the worst removed, and you disavow what will not come down. Then you wait, because a disavow is not a switch. We have done this on our own domain, so this is not a theoretical position.
What We Do
Digital PR and comment
placing genuine stories and expert commentary with publications your customers read
Industry and association listings
chambers of commerce, trade bodies, supplier and partner pages, the unglamorous links that carry real relevance
Original research and data
Original research and data, because a survey nobody else has run gets cited for years
Resource assets
such as tools, calculators and guides that other people choose to link to
Reclaiming links you already earned
from unlinked brand mentions and broken URLs pointing at pages that moved
Competitor gap analysis
so we go after links your rivals have and you do not
What we will not do
We will not buy links, take part in a link exchange scheme, or place your business on a private blog network. Not because we are squeamish, but because Google’s link spam guidance is explicit about it and because we have seen what the recovery costs.
All of our work follows Google Search Central guidance. If a tactic would embarrass you in a disclosure, we do not use it.
Toxic link clean up
If you have inherited a bad profile, we audit it, categorise every referring domain, pursue removals where a human will answer, and prepare and submit a disavow file. Expect this to take months rather than weeks, and expect no dramatic recovery on the day you submit it. It is groundwork, not a cure.
How we report
Monthly: new referring domains won, the authority and relevance of each, the pages they point at, and the movement in the keywords those pages target. Not a count. A count of links is the easiest number in this industry to inflate.

Ask for a free backlink profile review. We will tell you what you have inherited before we tell you what to buy.
Link Building FAQs
How many links will I get each month?
We do not sell a quantity, because that is the promise that leads agencies to buy rubbish to hit a number. We agree targets on relevance and authority and report exactly what was earned and how.
Is buying links actually dangerous?
Google’s guidelines treat buying links for ranking purposes as link spam, and its systems are good at recognising the patterns. The risk is not only a penalty; it is that you build on foundations you will later have to pay to remove.
How long before links affect rankings?
Individual links can register within weeks. A profile that shifts your authority meaningfully takes months of consistent work. Anyone offering a transformation in thirty days is selling the fast kind.
Can you fix a profile somebody else built?
Usually, yes. It starts with a full audit of every referring domain. We will tell you honestly if we think the domain is better abandoned than rescued, which is rare but not unheard of.
Do press releases still work for links?
Distributed press releases mostly produce no valuable links. Actual press coverage, earned by having something to say, still does. The difference is whether a journalist chose to write about you.
